Align Your Stars
Crisis or no crisis, your strategy needs regular review. What consumers want, in both products and services, changes regularly. The competition is changing the rules of the game for you. Or the local government may do that, for better or worse. In any case, your Supply Chain needs to keep pace with your customers and stay ahead of the competition.
These days, for many businesses this means going through a digital transformation. Analog processes can be made more efficient (faster and cheaper) and more customer centric by leveraging advanced technological solutions. Yet, technology is not the only answer to the digital transformation question. First and foremost, a business needs to understand the needs of its customers, the trends in the market, and its own strengths and weaknesses, to ensure it designs and deploys the right process… one that will deliver a competitive advantage (in combination with the right product, pricing and marketing). Using a digital approach in that design makes a lot of sense, but digitalizing the wrong process will only cost time, energy and money.
VDH Consulting can partner with you to understand what is the right direction for you, and how to align your stars. What are critical priorities right now, and how do you get ready for the near future?
Near future because the days of running the same Supply Chain for 5 or 10 years are most certainly over. Now, your Supply Chain needs to be resilient (meaning flexible ánd reliable) and agile, to deliver the services and performance your customers want, every time. At the same time, it is unlikely that all your customers are demanding the same services and performance from your Supply Chain. Therefore, differentiation is another key element in the overall design, and VDH Consulting can help you understand what that looks like without driving up complexity and cost unnecessarily.

Experience
Launching Reebok Europe from the Ground Up
As Operations Lead for Reebok Europe at New Guards Group (Milan), I was brought in to stand up the full operational backbone for a new entity, NGGH++, that would carve out Reebok from adidas and relaunch the brand in Europe, and globally as Reebok LTD.
In just 15 months, I:
- Co-designed and implemented the end-to-end operating model for the business
- Developed all processes, and procured the necessary contracts and assets, across Supply Chain Planning & Analytics, Customer Service and Logistics
- Established a new distribution center in the Netherlands, built to scale with future growth
- Implemented MS Dynamics365 (ERP) and recruited and onboarded 30 new team members at NGG HQ in Milan
Result: A fully operational, future-ready European Reebok organization — built from the ground up to deliver at scale.
